Vanessa Lam
Founder & Principal, BRSdata
As Founder & Principal of BRSdata, Vanessa Lam created a division within Business Rule Solutions (BRS) to focus on data culture, data accountability, and business intelligence.
Vanessa specializes in building data-driven organizations where operations and leadership understand and trust the data, treat data as a resource, and use data to make day-to-day and strategic decisions.
Previously, she worked at Mastercard as a Manager of Business Insight and Productivity and at Optoro as a Manager of Business Intelligence. In these roles, she created educational tools for the organization, fostered data communities, and ensured people used data responsibly.

She has a Masters of Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSc in Economics from the Wharton School. She was named a top influencer to watch in 2021 by IIBA. You can follow her at @Big_On_Data on Twitter.
Gladys S.W. Lam
Co-Founder, BRS
Gladys Lam is a lively pragmatist, who thrives on solving business problems and fostering positive team efforts. When consulting on large-scale capture, analysis, and management of business rules and decisions, she works comfortably with senior executives providing insights and advice.
She has managed hundreds of business rule projects for Fortune 500 companies. Gladys’s expertise in business rules and decision techniques has taken her all over the globe. She speaks worldwide at conferences and other professional events. She particularly shines when mentoring and training business analysts and brainstorming with business managers.
She is also Executive Director of the Building Business Capability (BBC) Conference, working to educate and develop industry professionals.
Ron Ross
Co-Founder, BRS
Ron Ross, Principal and Co-Founder of Business Rules Solutions (BRS), LLC, is internationally acknowledged as the “father of business rules.”
Recognizing early on the importance of independently managed business rules for business operations and architecture, he has pioneered innovative techniques and standards since the mid-1980s. He wrote the industry’s first book on business rules in 1994.
With BRS’s client roster of Fortune 500 companies and governments, Ron consults, speaks, and teaches worldwide. He has served as the chair of the International Business Rules & Decisions Forum conference since 1997, now part of the Building Business Capability (BBC) conference.
Ron is also the author of 10 professional books, as well as the executive editor of the Business Rules Journal. Through these publications, as well as on the online forum BRCommunity and his blog, Ron enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience in consulting and business rules.

Aldo Frosinini
Consultant
Aldo Frosinini is a Consultant at BRSdata.
He has partnered closely with executive stakeholders (e.g., CXOs, SVPs, federal executives) on corporate strategy, post-merger integration, organizational design, cost transparency, new process development, and change management.
He has also worked with technical leaders (e.g., CTOs, CIOs) across projects such as scaling initiatives, post-merger integration, organizational design, and securing & allocating R&D budgets.
Aldo has previously held consulting and strategy roles at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Booz Allen Hamilton, and Optoro. He holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and is a graduate of Swarthmore College.

Joseph Mapula
Consultant
Jospeh Mapula is a Consultant at BRSdata.
His consulting experience includes partnering with internal and external stakeholders on change management, technology adoption, KPI development and monitoring, user research, and release planning.
His product experience also includes collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders (e.g., CTOs, CSOs, Engineers) across areas such as product discovery, roadmap planning, development, marketing strategy, sales strategy, and customer experience.
Joseph is a graduate of Rice University and previously worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and SecurityGate.io.
Aubrey Sain

Aubrey Sain is a Consultant at BRSdata.
Her experience includes prolific writing and organizational skills. She has managed people of all ages and assemblages of all sizes.
She has developed coursework and facilitated workshops on business and family relationships and improving financial independence.
She understands the intricacies that come with balancing business and family life. She likes to promote initiatives that work cohesively for people on all levels.
Aubrey is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Brigham Young University.
Devin Barney
Consultant
Devin Barney is a Consultant at BRSdata. In partnership with both data beginners and expert executives, Devin has consulted, designed, managed, and reported on an array of research and evaluation endeavors. He specializes in translating group values, missions, and goals into intentional research design, metric definition, and analysis. His projects span topics like health/mental health, positive youth development, DEI, social media use, occupation, and more.
Devin centers attention toward accessibility, adaptability, diversity, and long-term sustainability and growth. He insists on producing insights that are theoretically-sound, actionable, and comprehensible to stakeholders at all levels.
Devin is a PhD candidate in Psychology at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa; where he also earned his MA in Psychology and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Lauren Tse
Data Intern
Lauren Tse is a Data Intern at BRSdata.
She is in her second year at Western University studying economics with early acceptance into the Ivey Business School. She enjoys working with others and embraces new opportunities that will broaden her knowledge and enhance her skills towards a career in business.
She always finds time to volunteer for charities and organizations that support wellness of community and multiculturalism.

Curtis Zhao
Consultant
Curtis is a Consultant at BRSdata. His experience involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders on tasks such as database management, data mining, data compliance, data analytics, SOP development, proprietary research, and qualitative and quantitative data collection. He has also worked with different supply chain teams on areas like inventory management, SKU analysis, BOL tracking, TOS/TOA documentation, compliance investigations, and third-party communications. Curtis is a graduate from the Sauder School of Business with degrees in Supply Chain Management, International Relations, and Political Science. He also holds a certificate of teaching from Cambridge Assessment and is a retired junior competitive golfer for Team Canada.
